SUSAN SMITH

Susan gained degrees in Birmingham and Leicester before taking up a position as designer with a high street brand of women's clothing. She moved into administration in fashion related fields, working with lingerie and embroidery companies supplying to major chain stores whilst continuing the designing and practical side with privately commissioned projects in both clothing and soft furnishing.

She began working with interiors and gardens twenty years ago after moving into a house which required total renovation throughout. The garden is an on-going project with new flowering plants added every year to increase the harvest of flowers brought into the house.  Each room in her home reflects a different mood, and has discreetly placed souvenirs of her worldwide travels.

She is an active road runner, is chair of a local south London running club, and teaches beginners and improvers both through the club and privately.
