PORL SMITH

Porl gained his design degree at Hull College of Art and began his career working freelance in display and presentation for a series of West End retail outlets and music companies.

During two decades as a decorator of private and commercial properties he has undertaken the construction and installation of fixtures, lighting effects and decorative features.

He moved into his new home almost six years ago, and has almost completed it’s transformation to reflect his slightly eccentric style. His garden is a riotous mix of flowers and vegetables, with a high wire contraption to keep the squirrels away from the bird feeder.

Porl teaches a weekly Lindy Hop class to 100 plus people, gives private classes and goes dancing. He rides a black Bonneville motorcycle, and reads crime fiction.
